The World of Murtoh
Murmah was Erevan's teacher in the ways of the Arcane
When I was 40, I was chosen by a Noble Eladrin wizard named Mumrah to study in the ways of the arcane. We became very close over the years and after my studies were completed, I remained in Mumrah’s service as an assistant and an apprentice of higher learning in the arcane arts.
One morning Noble Mumrah was not to be found and I soon learned that she had been banished from the Feywiid forever by the council of nobles for reasons that couldn’t be made known to me. But from what I gathered, it was for her appreciation for the natural world and her alleged associations with the Drow. Over the years, she’d mentioned to me in confidence that she believed the Drow to be misunderstood and that not all were consumed by the madness we Eladrin associate with dark magic.
I knew very little about the natural world, except that it’s dangerous. I knew very little about the Drow, except that I should not trust them. But my bond to Mumrah was strong, and I spent a decade waiting for her to contact me. But the contact never came, and finally my curiosity turned to obsession and I left my parents, and the Feywild to seek answers in the natural world. Is the world really so dangerous? Are the Drow really just misunderstood? Is Mumrah still alive? If so, why was she really banished by the council of elders and was her exile just?
